Flux Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Flux is a service for construction hauling. Contractors create work orders, brokers assign drivers and trucks, and drivers record their loads on site. This policy explains what information Flux collects, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

Flux is run by Flux Technologies LLC ("Flux", "we"), a limited liability company formed in Texas, United States, c/o Republic Registered Agent LLC, 17350 State Hwy 249, Ste 220, Houston, TX 77064. You can reach us at contact@fluxtechnologies.co.

This policy covers the Flux websites for contractors, brokers and drivers, and the Flux phone apps.

1. Who uses Flux

Flux is a tool for businesses and the people who work for them. Three kinds of people use it:

  • Contractor users: staff of a construction company that orders hauling.
  • Broker users: staff of a trucking broker that supplies trucks and drivers.
  • Drivers: the people who drive the trucks.

Contractors and brokers are companies. Each company's administrators add their own employees. A broker invites a driver by email, and the driver sets up their own account.

Flux is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

2. What we collect

Information you or your company give us

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • Your password. We store it in a scrambled form that we cannot read.
  • Your role: which company you belong to and what you are allowed to do there.
  • For companies: the company name, tax ID, address, the name, email and phone of a contact person, a logo if you upload one, and the vendor ID a contractor uses for a broker.
  • For drivers: the email address a broker used to invite you, the name and mobile number you enter when you set up your account, the truck number your broker enters when it assigns you to a work order, and which broker or brokers you drive for.
  • Your driver licence. When a driver adds their licence, we keep only the licence number, the state that issued it, its expiry date and its class. We do not keep a picture of the licence. The brokers that driver drives for can see those four details.
  • What you enter while working: projects, locations on a project, work orders, schedules, comments, change requests, and the reasons you give when you decline, cancel or remove something.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form.

Information created when you use Flux

  • Location. The phone apps use your phone's location to confirm that work happens at the job site.
  • Location, drivers. Flux records where the phone is when you check in, when you drop off a load and when you check out. The drivers app reads your location only at those moments, while the app is open and you are using it. It does not follow your location in the background.
  • Location, a contractor's people on site. Flux records where the phone is when a work day is started and when a load is recorded. In addition, while you are an operator or supervisor of a work day that is in progress, the contractors app sends your phone's location about every 10 minutes, also when the app is in the background, so that the place where trucks check in can follow the crew as the work moves. This stops when the work day ends, and you can stop it at any time in your phone's settings. We keep only your latest position, for no more than 24 hours, and no earlier positions. It is used only to decide where drivers can check in for that work, and it is not shown to other users.
  • Photos. When a driver photographs a load or a ticket, the photo is stored with the place and time it was taken.
  • Work records. Check-in and check-out times, loads, tickets, and the invoices built from them.
  • Device information. The kind of phone and system version, and a notification address that lets us send notifications to your phone.
  • Sign-in information. When you sign in, and a sign-in cookie in your browser (see section 7).
  • Usage and crash information from the phone apps. The apps use Google Firebase to tell us how often screens are used and to send us a report when the app crashes. These reports can include the phone model, the system version and what the app was doing at that moment.
  • Technical records. Our servers keep short technical logs of the requests they receive, including your internet address, to keep the service running and to investigate problems.

We do not collect payment card numbers. Flux does not process payments between contractors, brokers and drivers.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to:

  • create your account and let you sign in;
  • run the service: show work orders to the right people, let brokers assign drivers, let drivers check in and record loads, and build tickets and invoices;
  • confirm that work happened where and when it was recorded, which is what contractors and brokers rely on to pay and be paid;
  • send you notices about your work, by email, in the app, and by phone notification;
  • keep the service secure, find and fix faults, and prevent misuse;
  • answer you when you contact us;
  • meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not show ads.

4. Who sees your information

Other people on the same job. Flux exists so that the companies working on a job can see the same record. That means:

  • A contractor sees the brokers it works with, the drivers assigned to its work orders, and their check-ins, loads, photos, tickets and invoices for those work orders.
  • A broker sees its own drivers, the work orders sent to it, the contractor and project they belong to, and the tickets and invoices for that work.
  • A driver sees the work days they are assigned to, the job site, and their own loads and tickets.
  • Before a contractor works with a broker, the contractor can see only that broker's company name and city.

A driver's name, phone number, check-in times, the places where loads were picked up and dropped off, and the photos they take are visible to the broker they drive for and to the contractor whose job it is. Until a driver accepts a broker's invitation, that broker sees only the email address it invited. A contractor sees a driver's details only after the driver has accepted that broker's invitation.

Companies that help us run Flux. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

When the law requires it. We may disclose information when a law, a court order or a lawful request from an authority requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Flux, our users or others.

If Flux changes hands. If Flux is sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep honouring this policy until it is changed with notice.

5. Where your information is kept and how it is protected

Flux's servers and files are in the United States. If you use Flux from another country, your information is sent to and kept in the United States.

We protect information with encrypted connections, private storage for photos, tickets and invoices (they are reached only through links that expire), separate access for each company so one company cannot open another's records, daily backups, and limited access for our own staff. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account information: as long as your account is open.
  • Work records (work orders, check-ins, loads, photos, tickets, invoices): these are the business records of the contractor and the broker, who may need them for payment, tax and disputes. We keep them while the companies involved use Flux and for 7 years after, unless the law requires longer.
  • Backups: 14 days.
  • Technical logs: kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted automatically. Error reports are kept by Sentry for up to 30 days.
  • Notices in the app: 90 days.

When you ask us to delete your account (section 8), we delete or anonymise your personal details. Work records you were part of stay with the companies they belong to, but without more of your personal information than those records need.

7. Cookies

The websites use one cookie that keeps you signed in. It lasts 7 days and cannot be read by other sites. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. The map on some pages is loaded from Mapbox, which receives your internet address when the map is drawn.

8. Your choices and rights

  • See and correct your information. Most of it is on your profile and your company's settings. Ask us for anything you cannot see or change yourself.
  • Delete your account. Write to contact@fluxtechnologies.co from the email address of your account. We answer within 30 days.
  • Location and camera. You can switch these off in your phone's settings at any time. Check-in and load recording need location, and load photos need the camera, so those features stop working without them. If you are a contractor's operator or supervisor, you can also allow location only while the app is open: the app keeps working, but the check-in area will not follow the crew while the app is closed.
  • Notifications. You can switch off phone notifications in your phone's settings. We still send emails that are needed to run your account, such as password resets.
  • Other rights. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights over your information, such as getting a copy of it or objecting to how it is used. Write to us and we will honour the rights that apply to you. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

If your company added you to its account, its administrators manage your role and your access. If you are a driver, each broker you drive for can remove you from its list. For questions about what they do with the records, ask them; for questions about Flux, ask us.

9. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date. If the change is important, we will also tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
